I think Josh Groban has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. Not only that but his songs are amazing. You’ll never hear Josh singing about horrible things. He might sing about heartbreak and loss, but most of his songs are filled with love, faith, hope and happiness.

My mother in law first introduced us (my husband and I) to Josh Groban many years ago (well over 10+ years ago). She gave us a Josh Groban CD she purchased and asked if it was possible to record it on a tape cassette for her because she wanted to listen to it in her car and her car only had a tape cassette player. She also didn’t own a CD player but she couldn’t find the album on cassette so she purchased the CD. At that time we did have the stereo equipment to do it, but we kept forgetting about it. As time went by, copying over the album to cassette for her totally slipped our minds. Then she passed away due to pancreatic cancer. 🙁 Several months later when I was weeding out our CD collection to make room for new CDs I came across the Josh Groban CD that she had wanted us to copy over for her. I felt overwhelmingly guilty about totally forgetting about it (as did my husband). She purchased the CD because she really wanted to listen to it, and we totally forget.

We still have the CD. We won’t ever get rid of it. Not only because we both like Josh Groban, but also because it belonged to our mother (my mother in law) and she really loved Josh Groban too.

Sigh…

Anyway. Since then I have become a fan of Josh Groban. One of my favorite songs he sings is the theme song to the film Polar Express called Believe. I also love To Where You Are and You Are Loved. His Christmas album, Noel, is truly amazing. We listen to it every year during the holidays. His rendition of Ave Maria gives me chills. I also love O Holy Night and O Come all ye Faithful.

I just looked up To Where You Are on YouTube. I’m listening to it now as I type this. 🙂 His voice is so dreamy.

Josh is going on tour this year. It’s called Josh Groban’s In the Round Tour. The tour launches on October 2, 2013 in Boise, Idaho. Josh plans on giving his audience a one of a kind concert experience. His will be placed in the middle of the floor venue and a 360 degree stage will allow Josh to interact with all of his fans from all sides of the venue. The “In the Round” tour builds on the concept of Josh’s 2011 “Straight To You” world tour, bringing the intimate feel of a theater experience to an arena setting.
