If you read my blog regularly you will recall the four weeks I spent making small changes in the lives of my five cats thanks to Purina One’s True Nature of Cats campaign. If you missed any of the posts or would like to read them simply search True Nature of Cats or Purina One in my blog’s search box (top right side).
I hope the posts inspired you to make some changes in the life of your own cat. Maybe you were inspired to set aside some time each day to play with your cat. Or maybe you took the initiative and purchased a cat harness to help your cat explore the great outdoors safely. Even the smallest changes can have a major impact. Best of all these changes don’t have to cost you a dime. All you need is a little inspiration and a creative mind.
Now consumers can start their own guided journey, similar to what I did this past month.
Purina One has just this week launched its online True Nature Journal, which is an interactive guide designed to help people gain a deeper understanding of the true nature of cats. And how small changes in activity, environment and nutrition can help enrich the lives of the cats in our homes.
It’s not just a journal but also a fantastic resource to learn more about your feline friend.
Purina One developed the True Nature of Cats program to help cat owners and their cats. Much of our cat’s behavior, as well as what they need to be healthy and happy in our home environments, can be linked to their natural instincts. To dig deeper into these roots, Purina ONE sent a team of experts made up of two behaviorists, a veterinarian and a nutritionist to South Africa to research the African Wildcat, a wild ancestor of domestic cats. Along with input from local experts on the species, the team’s discoveries have helped us build this series of activities – each tailored to help our domestic cats live their true nature.
I have had cats all my life and I never learned as much about them as I did since participating in this program. The program also inspired me to want to learn more about my cats. When I have the time I Google more information about cats and I even purchased a book about cats. With five cats ranging age from not yet two years old up to almost 13 years old, each one with it’s own distinct personality, I want to make sure they have happy and healthy lives.
The online Journal also lets cat owners document their journey with notes and photos along with the ability to share their accomplishments with friends or members of the True Nature of Cats community.
If you are a cat owner, or know someone who is, I would encourage you to check it out for yourself. Visit www.PurinaOne.com/Cat-Journal.

I will have to check out the Journal….I have 2 male cats (one is almost 8 the other about 5) and they (and my two female dogs) are my little fur babies. THey are rotten and can sometimes drive me insane (one of my cats likes to wake someone up about 4 or 5 am cause he wants to go out, LOL)

What a great source of information when it comes to cats. I’ll pass this along to friends of mine who are cat owners.

I love my 4 so much. They are my joy in life. I spend hours a day with them playing and petting them. I will have to look into your journal. I think I missed that.
